Well done to all the swimmers who took part in a fantastic swim through the heart of Limerick City. A bg thank you to our sponsorts Fly Shannon group. A huge thanks to our volunteers from the club who helped on the day and especially to the Limerick Marine Search & Rescue, Civil Defence, Limerick Kayak Club and St. Michaels Rowing Club for their support. Summer Solstice Castleconnell 2017

We had almost 60 swimmers take part in the now annual Summer Solstice Swim in Castleconnell. The swim is run as a fundraiser for Castleconnell Boat Club. Tonight we raised a total of 630€ for the club and we could see one year on from last year the terrific progress that has been made at the site. We had 3 female junior swimmers tonight Sophie Keane, Julie Lyons & Edie Reynolds. Fantastic swimming over a distance of approximately 1,150m. The ladies started 2 minutes before the men. Mallow Masters Trip 2016

On Saturday 26th November, Limerick Masters attended the Mallow Masters Gala.  Despite the cold weather, and an early start, 22 members turned up to compete for the club. The club had a brilliant performance on the day and brought home a significant medal tally: Individual: 33 gold 23 silver 12 bronze Relays: 8 Gold 4 silver 4 bronze. Castleconnell Summer Solstice Dip

Well done to all those swimmers who took part in our fundraiser 1km dip in aid of Castleconnell boat club last Tuesday 21st June. Prior to the adults entering the kids had a splash and dash that was well rewarded with medals & mars bars! We had 40 swimmers take part and with voluntary donations we were delighted to hand over almost 500€ to Castleconnell Boat Club. The European Experience

A marathon endurance, we were queuing for spectating queuing for swimming queuing for your warm up frustration and elation what an experience. This was all part of our trip to the European Championships. On Saturday May 9th at the Swim Ireland AGM and Awards night the Swim Ireland Masters Award for Outstanding Achievement was awarded to Breda McNamara of Limerick Masters. The award is a recognition of Breda’s long years of service to masters swimming in the mid west from the foundation of Limerick Masters club 28 years ago to the club today which has in excess of 90 members.
