Irish Open Long Course Championships 2022 – Results

We hope you enjoyed the gala event – we were sure delighted to be back. Below please find the results of the gala.

We are delighted to announce the winners of our trophies – this is based on who is the closest to the world record in their age group.

1500m Freestyle Kearney Cup – Rob Genest, Glenalbyn in the 70-74 age group

50m Breaststroke Jim Neylon Cup – Claire O’Connell, Kingdom Masters in the 30-34 age group

50m Freestyle Limerick Masters Cup – Barry Murphy, Guinness Swim Team in the 35-39 age group

Congratulations to Rob, Claire and Barry!

And the Club of the Gala is – Aer Lingus – who win the John Dempsey Trophy. Congratulations to all in Aer Lingus

Many thanks to all the swimmers, officials and helpers – it takes an army to run such an event.
