On Saturday May 9th at the Swim Ireland AGM and Awards night the Swim Ireland Masters Award for Outstanding Achievement was awarded to Breda McNamara of Limerick Masters.
The award is a recognition of Breda’s long years of service to masters swimming in the mid west from the foundation of Limerick Masters club 28 years ago to the club today which has in excess of 90 members. For all of that time Breda has served as secretary of the club and has been instrumental in the development of masters swimming in Limerick, has supported swimming at all levels in the region with her huge depth of experience, network of contacts, diligence and professional attitude in all aspects of her activities and is also a very welcoming and warm person. In addition Breda has worked with Seal Swimming Club for in excess of twenty years as a swimming teacher and committee member. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and capable person as a member of our club.
Well done Breda and hope to see you in swimming for many more years to come.
