Thomond Swim 2018

11th year since it was reinstated and today we 97 swimmers in the water plenty of first timers & plenty of seasoned swimmers. The sun shone and most importantly all who entered exited safety. A big thank you to Limerick Marine Seach & Rescue for the boat cover alongwith the support of Limerick Kayak Club. The Civil Defence provided the welcome shower & finishing tents. Again we had the support of St Michaels Boat Club for the event. Every year they open their doors and hand over the keys to the swimmers.
We had plenty of food to recharge the batteries afterwards at Shannon Boat Club, with it’s stunning vista of the route.
