Presentation to Limerick Swimming Club: Limerick Masters have a long standing relationship with Limerick Swimming Club, the principal competitive club for young swimmers in Limerick city. Many outstanding swimmers have started out their competitive career in LSC and Limerick Masters are delighted to be able to contribute to the development of the sport in Limerick and the mid west through their support of LSC. Limerick Swimming Club have also made their own contribution to the Masters with many members going on to swim and compete in our own club. The photographs show Harry Harbison with Andrea Newport and John Reilly presenting the cheque from Limerick masters to Brenda Short of Limerick Swimming Club accompanied by the members of the Limerick SC Squad.
Presentation to Mary Phelan: Limerick Masters made a further presentation to Mary Phelan to mark the completion of her year as President of Swim Ireland. The presentation is also in recognition of the contribution that Mary has made to swimming in Limerick, the Munster region and at national level. Mary has spent time as secretary of Seal Swimming Club, served on the Munster Competitions Committee, Treasurer of the Munster Region of Swim Ireland and is currently working with Special Olympics Ireland. She also tells us that we haven’t seen the last of her yet so we look forward to seeing and working with Mary for many more years.
