Records Galore British Masters

Congratulations to John Cunningham who swimming under the Limerick Masters banner competed in the recent British Masters Longcourse Gala at the Aquatics Centre in Manchester. This was John’s first competition in 3 years, he was recovering from multiple injuries  including shoulder, knee, and double hernia surgery!!

John achieved a European Record in the 50m Fly with an astonishing time of 26.09.
He broke 5 Irish Records: 50 Fly – 26.09;  100 Fly – 1:00.30; 50 Breast – 31.28;  50 Free – 25.46;  100 Free – 57.65

Hopefully the injuries are now put to bed and we hope to see John & his swimmers from Potters Bar at our own long course championship in March 2016.
