Castleconnell Summer Solstice Dip

Well done to all those swimmers who took part in our fundraiser 1km dip in aid of Castleconnell boat club last Tuesday 21st June. Prior to the adults entering the kids had a splash and dash that was well rewarded with medals & mars bars! We had 40 swimmers take part and with voluntary donations we were delighted to hand over almost 500€ to Castleconnell Boat Club. The club as many of you know was badly affected by the Winter flooding. The timing of the event meant it was a perfect warm up for those heading to Kilkee this weekend to take part in the Hell of the West. Best wishes to all. It was also a first 1km swim for some of those lookoing to take part in the Thomond Swim which is taking place on Saturday July 2nd in the city.
